Setting Up Your JamBlaster

To set up and prepare to use your JamBlaster, take the JamBlaster and the power supply out of the package you received. You will also need an Ethernet cable (not included).

First, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the JamBlaster. This is the port on the left side of the JamBlaster (pictured below). Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet ports on your home router.

Second, connect the power supply to the power port on the right side of the back of the JamBlaster (pictured below). Connect the power supply to a power outlet. 




On the front of the JamBlaster, connect a set of headphones to the Phones port (pictured below). And connect any instrument or microphone cables you want to use for audio in sessions into the Input 1 and Input 2 ports (pictured below).



With your JamBlaster hardware set up, you now need to get the JamKazam software application ready. If you are already a JamKazam user and have already been using our free application on a Windows or Mac computer, then you already have the app installed.

If you have not yet installed our application on a computer, then on the computer you want to use with the JamBlaster, open a browser, and click this link to go to our free application download page (pictured below).



Click the big Download button. When the app installer file has finished downloading, open this file from your browser, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the application on your computer. 

When the JamKazam app is installed, if you are using a Mac computer, you are ready to move on to the next step. Windows computer users will need to go to the download page for the iTunes application, and download and install iTunes for Windows. You won't need to run and use this application, but iTunes includes a code library that is needed for our app to find and connect to the JamBlaster across your home network. We are planning to do the work needed to eliminate this iTunes app requirement, but have not completed this work yet. We apologize for this inconvenience.
