In addition to searching for JamTracks by band/artist name or song name, you can filter JamTracks by music genre and/or an instrument that you play. For example, if you play mandolin, you can get a list of JamTracks that include mandolin parts, or more specifically country songs that include mandolin parts. Here’s how:
Launch the JamKazam App
Find the JamKazam app icon (pictured below) on your computer desktop, and use it to start up the app.
Click the JamTracks Tile
When you launch the JamKazam app, you might see the Getting Started dialog box (pictured below).
If you see this, then click the CLOSE button at the bottom of this dialog box to close it. You should now see the home screen of the app (pictured below).
Click the big orange tile labeled JamTracks. You should now see the JamTracks screen (pictured below).
Select a Genre and/or an Instrument
On the left side of this screen, find the text header “Search JamTracks”. Under this header, you may either click the Any Genre box to select a genre, or you may click the Any Instrument box to select an instrument (pictured below), or you may select both.
Then click the SEARCH button under these boxes. Your search results will be presented (pictured below).
Search Again If Needed
If you want to run a new search, you can stay on the screen pictured above, and simply start typing your new search in the Search Again box at the top of the screen. Or if you want to return to the JamTracks home screen, you can click the yellow text link “back to jamtracks home” at the top right of the search results listing.
